orange juice

Orange juice is a fruit juice obtained by squeezing, pressing or otherwise crushing the interior of an orange. The largest producer and exporter of orange juice is Brazil, with 80% of the world's production, followed by the United States.

Orange Juice is an essential ingredient for cocktails.
It should always be freshly squeezed.

How to juice an orange

To get the most juice from a orange bring it to room temperature, then roll it on the counter with the flat of your hand while pressing down on the fruit to soften them up before squeezing. Alternatively, put the fruit into the microwave, on high, for 10 seconds to release the juices.

How to store orange juice

When placed in a tightly-covered container, fresh orange juice may be stored in the refrigerator for about 2-3 days. After that, it will begin to lose its flavor. If you have citrus juice left over after making your cocktails with orange juice, freeze it in ice cube trays for longer storage and convenience.
