Hot Buttered Rum
- 64 oz. water
- 40 tbsp. brown sugar
- 8 tbsp. butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 cinnamon stick
- 7 cloves
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 16 oz. rum
- 2 oz. whipped cream
Mixing Directions:
Put all ingredients, except cream, rum and nutmeg into crockpot. Stir well. Cover pot and cook on high for 2 hours. Add rum and stir to blend.
Serve from pot in warm mugs with a scoop of whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg.
Makes 3.5L or about 14 8oz servings.
